On 28 May 2026, the Insolvency (England and Wales) (Amendment) Rules 2026 were published and laid before Parliament, together with an Explanatory Memorandum. Amending the Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016, the rules clarify minor technical points and reflect wider use of electronic communication, including removal of the use of fax as a means of delivering documents. The rules come into force on 22 June 2026.
